1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. – I think this is a bad rule because there are animals that walk on two legs and Mr. Whymper (their broker) does too but he’s not an enemy to them. There could be problems because the animals might see a human, for example, and think enemy but in real life the human could be really nice and not want to hurt them.
2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. – I think this rule is fine especially because it goes right along with what they are fighting for. The only problem that could arise would be if two animals get into a fight. For example, Snowball and Napoleon. Napoleon got mad at Snowball so Napoleon shunned him. Some of the animals could’ve got mad at Napoleon so that would’ve caused arguments or even a war between the animals on the farm.
3. No animal shall wear clothes. – This rule is fine because animals do not need to wear clothes and wearing them could make them relate to the humans in a way. I don’t think there would be any problems from this rule unless its winter and for some reason one of the animals wanted to wear a scarf or something, then that animal might get shunned.
4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.- This is bad rule because most animals sleep in some kind of bed and all beds relate to something a human would use. You can’t really get rid of something like that. There was a problem when the pigs used the beds that the humans slept in.
5. No animal shall drink alcohol.- I think this is a good rule because for one, the alcohol is something that humans used, and two, there should never be a time when animals need alcohol. I don’t really think that there would be problems from this rule.
6. No animal shall kill any other animal.- Once again, I think this is a good rule because if all the animals are fighting together for the same cause, they should unite. A problem from this rule could be if two animals get mad at each other and one just decides to kill the other. Snowball and Napoleon could be used as an example again. Napoleon thinks Snowball knocked down the wind mill so now Napoleon wants him dead.
7.All animals are equal.- This is a good rule because like I said before, if all the animals are fighting for the same thing, they should unite. The pigs took leadership on the farm because they think they are the smartest animals on the farm. They broke the rule of all animals being equal, but no other animal has really tried to tell them that.
What Happen in 2017 Pt 2
Author(s) of article: NASA
Title of article: Eclipse: Who? What? Where? When? and How?
Name of magazine, newspaper, website, etc. containing the article: NASA (.gov)
Date article was published: August 21, 2017
Web address: eclipse2017.nasa.gov/eclipse-who-what-where-when-and-how
Discuss the effectiveness of the headline in summarizing the story and getting the reader’s attention. The title of the article draws the reader in because it clearly states who and what it is about.
The story related to the lead: 5 W’s and the H.
Who: Everyone in North America plus parts of South America, Africa, and Europe will see at least a partial solar eclipse, while the thin path of totality will pass through portions of 14 states.
What: This celestial event is a total solar eclipse in which the moon passes between the sun and Earth and blocks all or part of the sun (depending on your location).
When: August 21, 2017. Times for partial and total phases of the eclipse vary depending on your location.
Where: You can see a partial eclipse, where the moon covers only a part of the sun, anywhere in North America. To see a total eclipse, where the moon fully covers the sun for a short few minutes, you must be in the path of totality.
Why: The moon’s orbit perfectly covered the sun.
How: You never want to look directly at the sun without appropriate protection except during totality. That could severely hurt your eyes. There are many ways to safely view an eclipse of the sun including direct viewing – which requires some type of filtering device and indirect viewing where you project an image of the sun onto a screen.
Of all the 5 “W’s” and “H”, star the one you think is the most important. Tell why. I think “How” is the most important because it gives you important information about viewing the eclipse so that you do not injure yourself or others.
Magnitude of the event in story National
Is it international, national, or local? National.
What is its impact? How many people were affected by it? Many people were very excited for this eclipse since we haven’t had a total solar eclipse in the United States since 1979. It is estimated that 215 million people watched the solar eclipse this year alone. That is nearly twice the number of people that watched the Super Bowl last year.
Briefly state the main idea or thesis presented in this article: All about the total solar eclipse of 2017
Did the article come from a wire service? Yes- NASA.gov
Who are the sources in the article itself? Image Credit: Rick Fienberg, TravelQuest International and Wilderness Travel, NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio, NASA Kepler Mission, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
List one quote that made the article sound more reliable. “The first point of contact will be at Lincoln Beach, Oregon at 9:05 a.m. PDT. Totality begins there at 10:16 a.m. PDT. Over the next hour and a half, it will cross through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and North and South Carolina. The total eclipse will end near Charleston, South Carolina at 2:48 p.m. EDT. From there the lunar shadow leaves the United States at 4:09 EDT. Its longest duration will be near Carbondale, Illinois, where the sun will be completely covered for two minutes and 40 seconds”. Though this is a paragraph, I thought this information made the article seem more reliable because it contains specific times of when and where the eclipse is happening in the United States.
What was the most surprising/interesting thing you found out by reading this article? “You can see a partial eclipse, where the moon covers only a part of the sun, anywhere in North America. To see a total eclipse, where the moon fully covers the sun for a short few minutes, you must be in the path of totality”. I think this is the most interesting fact because even though we are all looking at the same moon, it looks different at different places.
What question(s) do you have after reading this? Why does it take so long for an eclipse to happen?
What would you like to learn more about? When can you tell there will be another eclipse

Phone Addiction Pt. 1
Some positive outcomes of smartphones are being able to check the weather on the go while your at work or doing something. You do not want to come outside unprepared and get rain on. Another positive outcome is being able to text or communicate with others not around you, such as when I am at school and I forget something at my house or even if I need some lunch money I can text my mom or dad to bring it to me or in other cases you can text your friends or family you don not see much of and want to check in on how there doing.
Would You Rather Pt3
I would rather be married to six with an amazing personality instead of a ten with a bad personality because if could be happy with someone with great the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual’s distinctive character. It is not always about the looks. If I married the ten with the bad personality I would not be happy they would make my life miserable. A example of this would be I could be stuck with someone that is very bossy and rude that is always telling me what I should be doing and always yelling me for the littlest things.
Would You Rather Pt2
I would rather have a real life stalker who dresses like the Easter bunny that everyone can see. That way if everyone can see the person that is dressed as the Easter Bunny that way they would know I am not crazy and everyone would see the Easter Bunny following and stalking me. I would not be that scared if I had a person dressed as the Easter Bunny following and stalking me because when I think of the Easter Bunny I think of a person that gives out free candy and movies to each and every kid in the world.
Would You Rather Pt1
I would rather be unknown when I am alive but famous after I die. The reason for this because if I am famous after I have died I could be celebrated. I could also have a day to honor me for being famous. Another thing would be since I am famous now that I’m dead people and companies could make shoes and clothing line base on me being famous such as Nike or Jordan because there my favorite brands. An example of this would Derek Jeter, the Jordan brand has made shirts and shoes to honor him just for retiring imagine what would happen if you died.
Human Rights Pt. 2
I believe that the rights of a singular person can be violated for the greater good of a group. An example of this would be currently in the National Football League African-Americans are taking a knee during our nations National Anthem while it is playing. The President of the United States of America Donald Trump has said “to fire and suspend them players for disrespecting the flag!” and also “Get that son of a b—- off the field right now. Out. He’s fired. He’s fired!” Which is causing Rodger Goodell to leading to make it an official rule to stand for our nations National Anthem. Also this hurting the players and the teams by making each other feel more different and not united as one.
Human Rights Pt. 1
The concept of human rights is in a nutshell, human rights means a right that is believed to belong justifiably to every person. A few examples of human rights are nationality ,religion, and do not be treated differently by the color of are skin. Nationality means the status of belonging to a particular nation, people are being mistreated for status to a nation such as people from Russia are being harass in the US due to the conflict between nations. Religion means the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. for example people that do not believe in God are harass by Christians.
Mix Tape of my Life
If I had a mix tape that consist of my life. The songs and artists that would be featured are Eminem, Rae Sremmurd, YG, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, and Lil Yatchy would be a few of the artist featured. A few of their songs that I like are Lose Yourself, Swang, Congratulations, and I Spy are a few of these artists top songs. I connect and understand where some of the lyrics come from these artist. Other songs that would be on my mix tape are Remember The Name by Fort Minor and Welcome to The Jungle by Guns N Roses.
